Send your first message with the Avox API

One endpoint, WhatsApp's own message format, and no Meta token to manage. Here's how to send your first message from your own system.

The Avox API lets your own systems send WhatsApp messages through your connected number.

Three steps

  1. In Settings, API Keys, create a key for the number. You confirm it with a code we email you, and the key is shown once, so store it as a server secret.
  2. Start with a test key: it runs every check but never sends a real message.
  3. Send a request:
bash
curl -X POST https://api.avox.com/api/messages/send \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"to": "15551234567", "type": "text", "text": {"body": "Hello from Avox"}}'

The body uses WhatsApp's own Cloud API format: text, templates, pictures, documents, locations, buttons and more.
