What are connected apps?

Connected apps link your Avox Switchboard to tools you already use, so your Flows, AI Automation and Tables can use them: send a payment link in a chat, book a meeting, look up an order or save a customer to your CRM. Avox connects 12 apps today: Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, Google, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Calendly, Shopify, WooCommerce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM and Airtable.

How many apps can I connect?

Each Switchboard can connect 2 apps on Starter, 5 on Growth and 11 on Business. Reconnecting an app never counts twice, and a disconnected app doesn't count.

Does Avox see my passwords?

No. For sign-in apps you sign in on the app's own page and Avox never sees your password. For Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, WooCommerce and Airtable you paste keys from your own account; Avox stores them encrypted, never shows them again and never writes them to a log.

Do payments go through Avox?

No. With Razorpay, Stripe and PayPal, Avox sends a payment link or request from your own account, and the money goes straight to you. Avox only reads whether it was paid, and can refund from your account when you ask it to.

What happens if an app is down or I disconnect it?

Avox keeps working. Only the steps that use that app are skipped until it's back or connected again, and its pages in Avox still show what Avox saved. Disconnecting deletes the keys or sign-in Avox saved; the activity log stays for your retention period.

Do I need to write code?

No. You connect an app in a few clicks and use it in the automation builder, Flows and Tables. If you build with code, the Avox API can manage the same Tables, Flows and automations.

Who in my team can connect apps?

Two permissions cover apps. See connected apps lets someone open the Apps pages and their data. Manage connected apps lets them connect, disconnect, refund, reschedule and cancel. Admins have both, and an Admin can give them to a Manager.

Connect in a few clicks
Open Connections, then Apps, and click Connect. Sign-in apps (Google, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Calendly, Shopify, HubSpot and Zoho CRM) open their own page for you to sign in and allow access. Key apps (Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, WooCommerce and Airtable) take the keys from your account there, and Avox checks them before saving.

Before anything is shared, the connect page lists exactly what Avox will be allowed to do with the app and which of its pages you'll see in Avox. Nothing else is asked for.

Use it in Flows, AI Automation and Tables
Add a "Use a connected app" step to an automation, start it from a Flow answer or a table row, and write what comes back into a table. A payment link, a meeting or a saved contact, sent from the chat it belongs to.

Only the access it needs

Avox asks each app only for what its features need, and the app shows you the exact list before you agree. Avox uses an app only to do what you set up.

Keys kept encrypted

Keys and sign-ins are stored encrypted, never shown again (not even to you) and never written to any log. Personal details in the activity log are masked.

Disconnect any time

One click removes Avox's access. Avox deletes what it saved to sign in, and asks the app to drop its access too wherever the app allows it.

Nothing depends on an app

Avox keeps working without any app. If an app is down or disconnected, only the steps that use it are skipped until it's back.
