Avox connects your WhatsApp Business number to a shared dashboard through Meta's official Coexistence program. Your team keeps using the WhatsApp Business app on the phone, and Avox adds an inbox, templates, WhatsApp Flows, rule-based automation (Avox AI, in Beta) and a developer API on the same number. Avox is built and run by AAIDA Corp. Private Limited.

No. With Coexistence the same number works in the WhatsApp Business app and in Avox at the same time. Replies your team sends from the app also show up in the Avox inbox.

No. When you connect, choose "Existing number (Coexistence)" to use the number that's already in your WhatsApp Business app. Choose "New number (Bot only)" only for a number you'll dedicate to Avox and the API.

Create an account on Avox with your email (you confirm it with a 6-digit code), Google or Facebook. Answer a few quick setup questions, choose a plan on the pricing page and pay with PayPal, then connect your WhatsApp number from Connections in your dashboard. The setup wizard ends with Meta's own signup popup.

No. Avox is AAIDA Corp.'s own product, built on Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform: the Cloud API, Coexistence and Embedded Signup.

No. The inbox, templates, Flows and automations all work from the dashboard without code. Developers can add the Avox API whenever they want to send messages from their own systems.

Yes. Use the contact form on Avox or email hello@theavoxai.com. A person on the Avox team replies.

Coexistence is Meta's way of letting one number work in the WhatsApp Business app and on the WhatsApp Business Platform at the same time. During signup you confirm the connection in the app on your phone, and the app keeps working afterwards.

During Meta's signup, the WhatsApp Business app asks whether to share your existing chat history. If you share it, Meta sends those conversations to Avox once and they appear in your inbox. It's a one-time choice, so decide before you confirm.

WhatsApp lets a business send free-form messages for 24 hours after the customer's last message. After that, only a Meta-approved template can be sent. Avox shows this in the inbox and switches the composer off until the customer writes again.

Meta reviews every message template before it can be sent, so a new template starts as "Pending review" and moves to "Approved" or "Rejected". Approval isn't instant. Templates you pick from Meta's template library are already verified and ready to use.

Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business Account directly, at Meta's published rates. Avox never marks those up. The dashboard shows what Meta charges to help you plan ("Est. Meta cost" on Overview, and "Meta charges" on Billing, which uses Meta's own reported figures once they're in), and "Meta payment status" on Billing shows whether Meta can take payment for each number, with steps to fix a problem. Meta's own invoice is what you pay, and "View Meta invoices" opens it in Meta.

Yes. The Health page has a "Quality history" card that lists each messaging tier and quality update Meta sends for your number, and it flags a number Meta has marked down recently.

Yes, where Meta makes usernames available. Each connected number has a "Set a WhatsApp username" option on the Connections page, with Meta's rules checked as you type (3 to 35 characters: letters, numbers, periods and underscores) and Meta's own suggestions. Meta decides availability: a name can be taken or protected, and Meta is rolling usernames out by country and account. If they aren't live where you are yet, Meta can approve a name as "Reserved" and show it once they are.

Every conversation with your customers, newest first, with an unread dot on new messages. Replies your team sends from the WhatsApp Business app appear there too, and opening a conversation marks the customer's latest messages as read in WhatsApp.

Text replies, inside the 24-hour customer service window. Each sent message shows whether it was sent, delivered, read or failed. Images, buttons, lists, Flows and templates go out through Automation or the Avox API.

Avox adds a contact automatically when someone messages your number, when calls are logged, and from your chat history and the contacts saved in your WhatsApp Business app. You can rename any contact from the Contacts page.

Type part of a name to match names, or type the full phone number to find that exact contact. Partial phone numbers don't match, because numbers are stored encrypted.

Yes. Contact phone numbers are encrypted at rest and only visible to your own Switchboard. Avox finds contacts using a one-way fingerprint of the number, so searching doesn't need to decrypt anything.

Open Contacts, then Tags & categories, to create labels with a name, a colour and a description. Tags mark things about a contact, like "VIP" or "Follow up", and categories group them, like "Lead" or "Customer". Every contact gets its own avatar coloured by its first category (or first tag), and a category can give all its contacts the same avatar shape, so you can tell groups apart at a glance. Automations can add tags too, and a Tag added trigger can start another automation.

Open Templates and click "Create template". Pick a category (Marketing, Utility or Authentication) and a template type, give it a name and language, write the content, and click "Submit to Meta". You can also start from Meta's own template library.

"Pending review" means Meta is still checking it. "Approved" means it's ready to send. "Rejected" means Meta declined it. "Paused" and "Disabled" are set by Meta, usually after quality issues with the template.

Hover over the "Rejected" badge to see Meta's own reason. Fix what it mentions, then edit and resubmit the template, or create a new one.

Yes, for custom message templates: open the template, click "Edit template", change the text, and click "Save & resubmit". It goes back to Meta for review. One-time passcode, calling permission and catalogue templates are replaced by creating a new template instead.

Yes. Click "Refresh from Meta" on the Templates page to pull in every template on your WhatsApp Business Account.

It depends on your plan: 2 per Switchboard on Starter, 5 on Growth and 12 on Business. The Templates page shows how many you've used.

Flows are short forms that open inside WhatsApp, like booking a slot, signing up or answering a survey. Your customer fills them in without leaving the chat, and their responses come back to Avox.

Open Flows and click "Create Flow". Start from scratch or from a premade Flow, name it, and click "Create & publish". Avox publishes it to Meta straight away.

Add the "Use Flows" action to an automation and pick one of your published Flows. When the automation runs, the customer gets a message that opens the Flow.

A Flow that's still a draft can be deleted. A published Flow is retired with "Deprecate Flow", which is how Meta handles published Flows.

Avox AI (Beta) is Avox's automation: rules that watch incoming WhatsApp messages and act on their own, like replying, tagging the contact or sending a template. It sends the messages you write and the templates you choose, so you stay in control of every word.

Six triggers: Keyword match, Any message, Outside business hours, No-reply follow-up, New contact, and Tag added.

Send a text reply, an image, video, audio, a document, a location, a contact card, a link button, quick reply buttons, a dropdown list, a Flow or an approved template; ask a question and wait for the reply; add tags and categories, set a contact field or add a note; notify your team, send the details to your own webhook, or ask for permission to call. Condition branches, delays and a stop step shape the path. You build it on a visual canvas, and premade automations get you started.

Each message an automation sends uses credits from your plan's allowance, depending on the message type. Marking as read and tagging a contact are free. When a period's credits are used up, automated sends pause until the allowance resets or you buy more from Billing > Buy credits. When your plan renews, unused plan credits roll over into the next period on top of its new allowance; if the plan doesn't renew, they end with the period. Bought top-up credits last 12 months. Credits are spent in a set order: rolled-over credits first, then the period's plan credits, then bought credits. The Automation page shows what you've used.

Yes. Plans differ in how many automations you can run and how many automation credits you get: on Monthly billing, Starter has 2 automations per Switchboard and 1,500 credits a month, Growth 5 and 2,000, and Business 10 and 4,000. A 12-month commitment or a year paid upfront gives more credits; the pricing page shows each option.

Yes. Automated replies and your team's own replies sit in the same conversation, in Avox and in the WhatsApp Business app.

Yes. When your plan renews, the plan credits you didn't use in the period move into the next one, on top of its new allowance. The Buy credits page in Billing shows the rule that applies to your plan. Rolled-over credits are spent first, and they don't roll over a second time.

An Admin opens Billing and clicks "Buy credits", picks a credit pack, and pays once with PayPal. Bought credits are added straight away, last 12 months, and are used after your plan's own credits. You need an active plan on the Switchboard to buy credits.

Your WhatsApp Calling history for the connected number: the direction, status, duration and contact for each call, as Meta reports them. Turn on the "Calling" switch for the number on the Connections page to start logging calls.

On the Calls page, use "Request calling permission": choose the contact and click "Send request". Avox sends them a message asking whether it's okay to call. It's a normal message, so it follows the 24-hour window.

One connection is one WhatsApp number linked to Avox. Your plan sets how many connections you can have active at once, across all your Switchboards: 1 on Starter, 3 on Growth and 5 on Business. It isn't a limit on messages or team members.

An Admin can pause a number from Manage on its connection card. Pausing frees that slot in your plan and stops Avox sending for the number: the inbox, automations and the Avox API all wait until you resume. Nothing changes on Meta's side. Resuming checks your plan's connection limit again.

An Admin opens Manage on the connection card and chooses Delete. Avox emails a 6-digit code to the Switchboard owner to confirm. The connection is kept for 6 days before it's permanently removed.

Message forwarding sends each new message from your customers to your own HTTPS endpoint as it arrives, signed with an Avox-Signature header so you can check it came from Avox. Only incoming customer messages are forwarded. Choose "Also send messages to my own server" while connecting a number, or set it up later on the connection's page under "Message forwarding". Use "Send test event" to try it, and follow every delivery under "Recent deliveries". Messages still appear in your inbox.

Each number's heartbeat (Operational, Degraded or Down) based on how recently Meta sent an event for it, plus delivery health and recent quality updates. "Check health now" asks Meta directly whether the number can send.

It lets your own server send WhatsApp messages from your connected number: one endpoint, one Avox key. Avox keeps the Meta token and makes the call to WhatsApp for you, so you don't need your own Meta app.

Text, templates, images, video, audio, documents, stickers, locations, contacts, interactive messages and reactions. The request body follows WhatsApp's own message format.

A live key sends real WhatsApp messages from its number. A test key never sends anything: it runs the same checks and answers with a pretend result, so you can build and test safely. Each key belongs to one connection.

Open Settings > API Keys. "Rotate" creates a new key with the same name, number and limits, and lets you choose when the old one stops working: immediately, in 1 hour, in 24 hours or in 7 days. Revoking a key stops it working straight away. Creating, rotating and revoking a key each ask for a 6-digit code that Avox emails you.

On the API logs page in your dashboard. The Sent tab lists every request with its outcome, recipient (masked) and request ID, and the Received tab lists messages forwarded to your endpoint. You can filter, search and export to CSV.

Keep it on your server, in an environment variable or a secrets manager, never in a website or mobile app. Avox shows a new key only once and stores just a fingerprint of it. If one ever leaks, rotate or revoke it.

Yes. If requests come in too quickly you get a 429 response with a Retry-After header: wait that long, then retry. A daily allowance also applies, and it resets at midnight UTC.

A Switchboard is a workspace in Avox, with its own numbers, contacts, templates, automations and team. You can run more than one (your plan sets how many) and switch between them in the dashboard.

Admins run the Switchboard: they invite and remove people, change roles, manage billing and connections, and can pause or delete the Switchboard. Managers do the day-to-day work, and an Admin can turn individual permissions on or off for each Manager. Whoever creates a Switchboard is its first Admin, and every Switchboard always has at least one Admin.

Yes. In Settings, open the Switchboard tab, then Members, and open a Manager's permissions. Each area (Inbox, Calls, Contacts, Templates, Flows, Automation, Connections, API, Billing, Team, Compliance, Analytics and Support) has its own switches for seeing and changing things, starting from sensible defaults. Admins always have every permission, and the dashboard only shows people what they're allowed to use.

Yes. An Admin can pause a Switchboard from Settings, confirming with a 6-digit code Avox emails them. Pausing stops sending for every number and automation in it, and nothing is deleted. Resuming brings back exactly what was running, as long as your plan has free connection slots.

An Admin opens Settings, then the Switchboard tab, then Invitations, and clicks "Invite". Enter their email, choose Admin or Manager, and send. Invites last 7 days, and your teammate accepts by signing in with the email address you invited.

In Settings, open the Switchboard tab, then Members. An Admin can pick a new role from the person's Role menu and confirm, or remove them with the cross on their row.

In Settings, open the Switchboard tab and click "Leave Switchboard". If you're its only Admin, make someone else an Admin first.

Avox charges a flat platform fee through PayPal, in US dollars: Starter is $24, Growth $59 and Business $99 a month on Monthly billing, and less per month on Yearly or One-time. Accounts in India see amounts in rupees first, with the US dollar amount charged shown beside it; the rupee figure is for reference. Meta bills your WhatsApp message costs separately and directly. You can pay Monthly, Yearly or One-time.

Monthly is charged each month with no minimum term. Yearly is a 12-month commitment at the yearly discount shown on the pricing page, still charged once a month. One-time is a single payment that covers a year at the one-time discount shown on the pricing page, and it doesn't renew by itself.

There's no time-limited trial. Instead, every plan has a 15-day money-back guarantee on its first payment, so you can use it for real and ask for a full refund if it isn't right.

In your dashboard, go to Billing, open Manage subscription and choose "Request help / refund": it opens a Billing ticket with your plan and payment filled in. You can also email hello@theavoxai.com from your account's email address. Within 15 days of your first payment on a plan, that payment is refunded in full under the money-back guarantee. Other refunds, of any amount up to what you paid, are at our discretion. Approved refunds go back to the PayPal account or payment method you paid with. The Cancellation & Refund Policy has the details.

Go to Billing, open Manage subscription and click "Cancel subscription". You won't be charged again, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. Cancelling a Yearly plan before its 12 payments are made has a flat $8 (USD) early-cancellation fee, paid through PayPal when you confirm. Inside the money-back guarantee, choose "Cancel and request my money back" instead: we cancel and refund with no fee. One-time plans simply end after their year, and we email you before they do.

Yes, on a Monthly or Yearly plan: choose "Change plan" on the Billing page and approve the change in PayPal. You move to the new plan once PayPal confirms it, and the new price starts from your next billing date, with no part-month charge or credit. On a One-time plan, contact us to change.

Your billing option is set when you subscribe. To switch, cancel from Billing, then subscribe again on the option you want; the new plan takes over as soon as it starts. Cancelling a Yearly plan before its 12 payments are made carries the early-cancellation fee.

We tell you by email and in your dashboard, and PayPal retries the payment. Your plan stays on meanwhile, but automation credits aren't topped up until a payment goes through. If PayPal suspends the subscription after repeated failures, or a payment is disputed, your numbers pause until it's resolved. Your data is kept safe.

Your WhatsApp numbers on Avox pause until a plan is active again, and your data stays where it is. Renew from the Billing page to pick up where you left off.

Enter a coupon under "Have a coupon?" at checkout; some offers apply automatically. You can use one code per purchase, and a code may only work for certain plans, billing options or accounts. A gift arrives as a personal link: sign in with the email it was sent to, accept it, and finish at checkout with the gift already applied.

In your dashboard under Settings, then Offers. Each offer shows what's inside, such as a discount code, a gift plan, free automation credits or higher limits, and when it ends. Click "Claim" to add credits or a boost to your Switchboard, "Use at checkout" for a code, or "Accept gift" for a gift plan. New offers can also pop up when you open the dashboard.

No. There's no onboarding, setup or activation fee on any plan. Apart from your plan, the only Avox charge is the early-cancellation fee if you end a Yearly commitment early. Meta bills its own message costs separately.

Yes. Contact us with how many numbers and Switchboards you need, and we can put together a plan for your business, sent to you as a personal offer link.

On the Billing page in your dashboard, under Invoices.

In Settings, open the Security tab and click "Enable" under Two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code. From then on, every sign-in asks for a code from that app before you reach your dashboard.

Yes. Add one from Settings, Security tab, "Add a passkey", then sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello or a security key instead of a password.

To make sure it's really you. Creating, rotating or revoking an API key, and pausing or deleting a Switchboard, each ask for a 6-digit code sent to your email. A code works once, only for that action, and expires after 10 minutes.

The Active devices list on the Security tab in Settings shows each device, its approximate location and when it was last active. "Sign out of all other sessions" signs out everywhere except the device you're using. Avox also emails you when a new device signs in.

Each Switchboard's data is kept separate and enforced by the database itself, contact phone numbers are encrypted at rest, everything runs over HTTPS, and every webhook from Meta is signature-checked before Avox accepts it. Card and bank details are entered with PayPal, never with Avox. The Security page has the details.

An Admin can delete a Switchboard and everything in it from Settings, and you can delete your own account from the Security tab. You can also remove Avox from your Facebook or WhatsApp Business settings, which sends Meta's deletion request and gives you a confirmation code to check on our deletion status page, or email hello@theavoxai.com. The Data Deletion page lists exactly what's removed and what's kept.

Only essential cookies of our own, plus optional "Site preferences" (your theme) and "Third-party integrations" (PayPal's checkout, loaded only when you pay) and "Analytics" (analytics cookies that help us understand return visits). Avox also counts visits anonymously without cookies, to keep the site working well. Change your choice any time with the cookie icon in the Avox footer. Avox runs no advertising trackers.

For the data you put into Avox we act as your processor, and our Data Processing Agreement sets that out; ask hello@theavoxai.com for a signed copy. If GDPR applies to you, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and we act on a valid request within one month. The GDPR & EU Compliance page has the details.

Email hello@theavoxai.com. We'll pass your request to the business you messaged, since they control that data, and confirm once it's been actioned.

Open the status page from "Status" in the Avox footer. It shows every Avox service (including Sign-in, WhatsApp webhooks, the Avox API, Avox AI and Billing) with 90 days of history, and a separate Meta / WhatsApp section for the WhatsApp Cloud API, incoming messages and message sending, so you can tell at a glance which side an issue is on. While it's open, each service is re-checked by itself every 15 to 60 seconds.

At the top of the status page, with updates as they happen. Resolved incidents stay under Past incidents for 90 days.

Yes. The status page links to a public status JSON made for uptime monitors. It answers 200 while the core service is up and 503 when it isn't.

On the Announcements page ("What's new" in the Avox menu), which also has an RSS feed, and in the Changelog in the docs. Turn on "Product news and announcements" under Email Preferences on your dashboard's Compliance page to get them by email.

Type your email into the box in the Avox footer to join. To leave, use the Unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, your mail app's own Unsubscribe button, or the form on the Newsletter page under Legal in the footer, which emails you a link to confirm. Account emails like receipts and security codes aren't affected.

If setup fails, Avox shows what went wrong with an AVX code, a "Try this" list and a "Retry connection" button. Keep Meta's popup open until it sends you back on its own, make sure pop-ups aren't blocked for the dashboard, check that you're an admin on the WhatsApp Business Account you're connecting, and make sure you have an active plan with a free connection slot. On the Coexistence path, Meta should show your WhatsApp Business app profile; if it asks for an SMS or voice code instead, go back, because that path moves the number off the app.

It's been more than 24 hours since their last message, so WhatsApp only allows an approved template. Send one with the Avox API, or wait for the customer to message again, which reopens the window.

Check the status shown after each message in the inbox, then open Health and click "Check health now" to ask Meta whether the number can send. Make sure the connection isn't paused, and look at Health's Quality history for anything Meta has flagged.

Your endpoint must use https:// on the standard port and answer with a 2xx status. After several failed deliveries in a row, Avox pauses forwarding and emails your Admins. Check "Recent deliveries" for the errors, fix your endpoint, click "Send test event", then turn forwarding back on.

Every error response includes a code, a plain-English message, a docs_url that points to that code's entry in the API errors reference, and a request_id. Search the request ID on the API logs page to see the full request.

AVX codes (like AVX-3059) identify exactly what went wrong. The Error codes page in the docs explains every code, what causes it and what to try. Include the code if you contact support.

Check that it's switched on, that your automation credits aren't used up for this period, and that the connection isn't paused. Each automation fires at most once an hour for the same contact, and only one automation runs for each incoming message.

PayPal's checkout only loads once you allow "Third-party integrations" in the cookie banner. Allow it when asked (or from the cookie icon in the footer) and the button appears.

Ask them to check spam. Invites last 7 days, and they must sign in with the exact email address you invited and confirm that address. To send a fresh one, an Admin revokes the pending invite under Invitations and invites them again.

If you've linked Google or Facebook, or added a passkey, sign in with that instead. Otherwise, email hello@theavoxai.com from your account's email address and we'll help you back in.

Contact support at hello@theavoxai.com from your account's email address, and we'll verify it's you and help you back in.

In Settings, open the Profile tab, enter the new address under Email address and click "Change email". Avox sends a confirmation link to both your current and new address, and the change takes effect once you confirm.

In Settings, open the Security tab. Enter your current password, then your new one twice, and click "Update password". Passwords need at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.

In Settings, open the Profile tab and use Connected accounts. You can disconnect one as long as you still have another way to sign in.

In Settings, open the Security tab and click "Delete my account". Type your account email (and your password, if you use one) to confirm. If you're the only Admin of a Switchboard, add another Admin or delete that Switchboard first.

Open the Compliance page in your dashboard and use Email Preferences to turn setup reminders, product news and WhatsApp account alerts on or off.
